Taking a spring RV camping trip?  Natural Bridge, VA, in the Shenandoah Valley, is one of the finest destinations for scenic beauty, outdoor activities and natural wonders!  Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, Natural Bridge, VA and its attractions are popular with RV campers of all ages!

The Natural Bridge is listed as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World!  The bridge, twenty stories of solid rock carved by nature, is so amazing that Thomas Jefferson purchased it from England’s King George III!  It was surveyed by George Washington and crossed by Civil War soldiers, so history is alive at this natural wonder!

Close to the Natural Bridge is the Monacan Indian Native American Village complex.  It’s a living history village where visitors can observe what life was like for Native Americans 300 years ago.  Guides conduct presentations and answer questions. The Monacan Indians discovered The Natural Bridge and called it “The Bridge of God”.

Nearby are the Natural Bridge Caverns, which opened to the public in 1977.  Visitors descend more than 34 stories underground to see several enormous rooms, lakes and stalactites and stalagmites that were formed over thousands of years.

Cedar Creek Trail, just under a mile long, includes The Natural Bridge and the Native American Village.  Among the many plants and flowers you’ll see is a 1500 year old tree!  Over 100 species of wildlife live along the trail, and the best times for viewing them are early in the morning and late in the evening.

In The Natural Bridge Wax Museum, you’ll see over 150 life sized figures in scenes from the history of Virginia and The Natural Bridge!  You can even visit the museum’s factory and studio!
