Located in Dumfries, Virginia, this historic destination is ideal for
campers, hikers, bikers, and nature lovers of all ages. Surrounded by
over 15,000 acres of secondary growth forest, this campground offers 29
full hookup sites, 34 electric and water sites, and four electric-only
sites. The grounds include clean restrooms, a playground, a swimming
pool, and a coin-operated laundry facility.
The
paved pull-through sites are 35′ long with single car parking beside
them. For big rigs, 50 amp,
80′ long sites were also recently added.
Situated approximately 21 miles from Mt. Vernon and 28 miles from the
White House, this destination gives you access to some of the most
historic and beautiful parts of Virginia. There are 37 miles of hiking
trails and 21 miles of bike-accessible roads and trails. If you plan on
camping with kids, check out the Junior Ranger program at the Prince William Forest Park visitor center.
