So you’ve just driven off the lot of Reines RV with a brand
new ride and you’re about to hit the road. If you’re going to take your first
big RV trip, then there are a few things you’re going to need, like sunscreen,
emergency supplies, and these five articles of clothing that no RVer should be
without.
Tank Tops
Some people just don’t like tank tops, but you’ll change
your mind after spending all day driving in the sun. A/C and tinted windows can
help, but the tank top will go a long way towards keeping you cool come what
may. If you’re driving a long distance in the comfort of your own home on
wheels, it doesn’t really matter much how you look, but how comfortable you
are.
Hats
Both wide brimmed hats and baseball caps will be a big help
in keeping the sun out of your eyes and off your nose. Don’t underestimate the
importance of protection from the sun! When you spend all day driving, it can
really sneak up on you. You may think, “I’m inside my RV, how could I possibly
get a sunburn?” You will.
Earplugs
Talk to a trucker who’s been on the road for a long enough
time and you might find that they keep asking you to speak up. If you like
driving with the window down, the wind blowing past your left ear for hours on
end can cause serious hearing loss if you don’t protect yourself with earplugs.
Driving Gloves
You won’t always need them, but come talk to us at the end
of a six hour drive and see if your palms aren’t sweating yet.
Sunglasses
Whether you’re driving in the sun or blinding white snow or
the white sands of Florida, blocking the glare will make for a safer trip and
your eyes won’t feel so tired at the end of the day.
Fashionwise, of course, you probably know that sun dresses,
Hawaiian shirts, sandals, and shorts are just the thing for a laid back RVer,
but don’t leave without the above listed items for a comfortable, safe trip
wherever you’re going. Got any wardrobe or driving tips to share? Let Reines RV
